Unit 2 Functions

Students will be able to:

• Use function vocabulary to describe characteristics of a function
• Determine if a rule is a function using:
  • Graphs (vertical line test)
  • Verbal descriptions (context)
  • Tables
  • Mappings
  • De-emphasize equations
  • Create an input/output table
  • Give the domain and range of a function from a mapping, from a sequence, and from a graph (add in domain & range question for graph problems in the section)
  • Analyze qualitative graphs and match them to a context
